Playing my own grey matter like piano keys without sheet music. Am I doing it right? No such thing. The way I was raised and the way it is are separate continents But the globe is the same, it's my music drifting over the landscape of hands clutching at the low flying notes of someone else's dream. No more A&R reps and labels and demos and radio dj's. No more arguing with others to get them to play what I wanted and locking antlers with producers and engineers over how it should be recorded. Are we better off?
These days I write and record whatever comes out of my mind. I do it mostly myself. Some resent that but I remember how hard it was to get it done the way I wanted it. Some might use words like selfish, I'd say genius, but to each his own. And now, welcome us into the end of 2022 and I have discovered Social Media! How genius!

I wrote and performed in the days of spinning cellulose and heavy amps. Kissing microphones that smelled of beer and cigarettes. The raw appeal of all those sensations. Ringing ears and mailing lists. Mailing lists with brick and mortar addresses on them! Better send a flyer for the next show before they forget seeing us at that club in Hollywood. "Come see us soon!" "Can you put us on the guest list?" "10 bucks for the demo tape, we recorded it ourselves!"
Welcome! I am, how you say, "Super excited" that you are all reading this. It tells me that you might come back! You might read more posts like this! You might listen to my music! This place is the contemporary equivalent of what in the 80's and 90's was where I wanted so desperately to be. On a stage and on your radio singing and playing in front of all of you. My dream! I will do my best to make it worth your while.
I think it was Oscar Wilde who said "I have suffered for years for my art, now it's your turn." But I promise this won't hurt a bit!
